Is there a way for me to upload the video(s) directly into the shell/directory so the transcoding framework could pick up and transcode it? I imagine I'd have to give it other attributes (like media name, meta-data, tags, etc), but is there such a thing?

Hello rukna,

no, that´s not possible as to get the needed meta-data (title, description etc.) you have to fill out the upload-form.

Maybe the batch-upload-module is the right tool for you. You find all info here:
