Please could you tell me what are the best settings for the Vimp Player ?
Are they 720 x 450 or 720 x 540 ?
Or any other ?
Also I have the HD transcoding module installed.
Many thanks guys.

Hello UsportSTAR,
to avoid funny results, set the "Height of the converted Video stream" to -2 (at administration -> configuration -> transcoding).
With -2 as value you keep the ratio of the source-video.

Hi. Just a question. When I charge a video in size 16:9, the
player let me watch it in size 4:3. Why? I tried to change the default setting of
width and hight, but the video ratio is always the same in size 4:3. Does it depends on the transcoder settings or what else?
Thanks
Pietro

Hello Pedro,
have a look at my last post. If you have set the height to "-2" the original ratio should appear.
In some rare source-Videos the Pixels are not quadratic, like generally in digital videos, but rectangular. But such videos look very compressed after transcoding. But such videos are very rare, I´ve seen 4-5 in the last 3 years.
