I had my hosting company install Vimp today. I went to upload a video and when I click on upload nothing happens. It will not do anything to find video, no box pops up asking where the video is located. Its like the upload button is broken.
Please Help

Hello jdellis1,

the ViMP default uploader component is SWFUpload, which is a Flash/Javascript library. If there is no action (no file browser popup) after clicking the button, it is most likely a browser issue.

Do you have Javacsript enabled in your browser?

What browser and operating system do you use?

Best regards

I have tried firefox, explorer and GoogleCrome and they all do the same thing. Also Java is intalled on my PC and up to date. I use Windows 7. This also happens on other computers. When I contacted my hosting company they also had the same issue. My brother had the same problem.

Please help

Hello jdellis1,

Java is not required for ViMP, it's JavaScript.

Can you please post the URL of your ViMP installation?

Did you check the file and folder permissions? Does the folder web/uploads exist?

Best regards

I sent you the credentials to access the site. Have you made any progress to resolve the issue?

Why don't you contact Arvixe? Since they manage to install stolen copies of ViMP Framework, they might as well fix it for you.
Kind regards,
Dmitrij
