Hello.

Can I make one video instead of coding. Mp4.m4v.ogv.webm.flv

Is that possible?

Hello smaling,

no, that´s not possible.

You need the different formats to cover all browsers. This is because the browser producers could not agree to one HTML5-standard.

Hello smaling,

what? Please retry and verify that.

You remove a Video and the folder web/uploads/ is deleted? I´ve never seen that.

can you please clarify on the video formats, and outline what browsers use which formats. because I also would like to ideally transcode only 1-2 formats.
i.e.
flv - default pc/mac/ all browsers
webm - mobile safari (i.e. iphone/ipad)

thanks

Hello Jono,
check this table for answers:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTML5_video#Browser_support

thanks, Im going to disable webM and Ogv, as I figure its mostly iDevices that will not support flash, in which case they will m4v.

Is there a way to identify which files are being accessed by type? i.e. in a log file or stats?. just to confirm there is no one accessing ogv/webm

thanks
Jono
