ViMP 2.2 contains new functions, layout improvements and enterprise enhancements. Furthermore the symfony framework has been upgraded to version 1.4.
ViMP 2.1.5 is another maintenance release of ViMP 2.1 and contains several bug fixes.
What's new in ViMP 2.2?
Frontend Improvements
The media detail page, WebTV page and several other details have been optimized and modernized.
New startpage elements
Alternative or additional to the startpage slider, the video player with a special or random medium or a featured media list can be enabled via the backend to show up on the startpage.
symfony upgrade
The symfony framework ViMP is based on has been updated to version 1.4.
Business skin (ViMP Enterprise Ultimate only)
A new business skin has been added for coporate portals.
API (ViMP Enterprise and ViMP Enterprise Ultimate only)
An API that allows to access and modify ViMP data from other applications has been added.
Further improvements
Additionally ViMP 2.2 contains several improvements like e.g. a registration form captcha, Google+ button, channel sorting via the backend and minor bugfixes.
Note: Please consider that the upgrade to ViMP 2.2 also requires an upgrade of all custom modifications or extensions to symfony 1.4 as well. Read more

When should I install ViMP 2.1.5?
ViMP 2.1.5 is a maintenance release of ViMP 2.1. If you don't plan to upgrade to ViMP 2.2, ViMP 2.1.5 should be installed to fix some minor bugs.
