AUDI AG

AUDI AG uses VIMP company-wide as its web-based video platform and central Digital Asset Management System within the intranet. VIMP turned out to be the ideal solution, because it can be adapted individually to any custom requirements besides its huge existing range of functions.

Examples include the connection to Adobe CQ and IBM Websphere as well as the conncetion to the internal LDAP system and porting to an Oracle database. In addition to the integration into existing systems VIMP has not only been adapted functionally, but also graphically to the requirements and Corporate Design and thus integrates seamlessly into the appearance of the AUDI AG.

Swiss Armed Forces

VIMP enables the Swiss Armed Forces to provide videos and photos for internal and external use without being dependent on external platforms. Linking and player embedding are among the most frequently used functions, which are also used by other organisations within the federal administration in addition to the Armed Forces.

The uncomplicated interface, which has been translated into several national languages, allows users to manage content themselves and present it centrally via a channel for their organisation.
VIMP is also used as a player for live streaming.

RWE Power AG

VIMP is used in the technical training of RWE Power AG. Especially with mobile learning it is important to provide media on any hardware for happy customers. Furthermore, VIMP offers an intuitive handling and many functions of social learning, that are taking account in didactical concepts.

GfK SE

The GfK Group, the biggest German company in market research and fourth biggest in the world, has chosen VIMP as the basis of their internal video portal “video4u”.
The standard functionality of VIMP already fulfilled most of the requirements. Additional needs among others were an LDAP- and Amazon-S3-connection for scaleably displaying the contents.
All GfK employees can make use of the video portal to get an directed insight to new methods, products and studies, to watch the CEO’s webcasts or simply to get an impression of what’s new in GfK all around the globe or upload a video themselves to share it with colleagues all over the world.
All in all it is intended to be a contribution to knowledge exchange and to stimulate the internal communication.

University of Freiburg

The University of Freiburg has long been looking for a video platform to meet its requirements for academic teaching and research. With VIMP a platform was found, with which both public and internal video recordings, as well as especially protected video material can be controlled and comprehensibly published. VIMP and the central learning platform ILIAS play hand in hand. We are happy to have found a solution in VIMP that helps us flexibly and also with further developments. Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts

The requirements for the central provision of videos at universities are numerous and challenging. Together with VIMP, the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts has developed solutions in cooperation with other universities that support teachers in integrating audiovisual media into their courses in an easy way. The seamless coupling with a learning management system such as ILIAS plays a decisive role here: familiar routines are supported and legal requirements are observed. Especially at this point the trustful cooperation with VIMP is of special importance.
