VIMP is ideal for internal corporate communications. Transport boardroom speeches, training materials, product information, onboarding content, and much more to your employees simply and easily. You can specify exactly which employees are allowed to see which content and which should remain hidden from them.
Onboarding new employees
VIMP enables you as a company to provide all information related to onboarding, for example in a channel, so that each of your new employees can view all information worth knowing on demand. The onboarding of new employees can thus be made much more efficient with the help of online videos and also promotes motivation to learn important and extensive information such as comprehensive procurement guidelines in purchasing.
Central and secure digital asset management system
VIMP can be used as a MAM/DAM system, a standalone video platform, or both in combination. With VIMP, media files can be managed and also integrated into other platforms as needed. In doing so, your files are protected from unlawful retrieval at all times due to VIMP’s high security standards. In addition, you can decide whether you want to host your VIMP video platform either at VIMP or on your company’s own servers.

Architecture
VIMP has been designed especially for a high number of users, high-resolution videos, stable performance and platforms with strong coverage. Many years of experience in video and social media result in a modern video management platform for enterprises and make the software unrivaled in the matter of usability and stability.
Media
Each medium can be saved with title, description, tags and meta tags and assigned to one or more categories.
It can also be assigned to editorial channels or closed groups. As soon as a medium is published (optionally only for certain employees or departments) it can be viewed, rated, commented or shared.
Search and activities
Users can search for media via the full text or extended search forms. Furthermore, media can be segmented by channels, categories, tags or featured media lists.
Activities of users can be displayed in a timeline on the start page in order to inform visitors of what’s new.
Workflow
Approval processes help qualified administrators to activate or decline uploaded videos with an optional comment.
Workflows define, if a user contribution has to be approved and by whom.
Groups
An essential element of VIMP Enterprise is the group function which allows closed collaboration of users or departments, involving all supported media types (video, photo, documents, audio).
Interoperability
VIMP Enterprise integrates seamlessly into your existing system landscape. Thanks to its extensive API it can “talk” with the other applications. The appearance can easily be adapted to your individual Corporate Identity (CI).

VIMP Installation Service
Leave the complete installation process of your VIMP platform to us.
DThe VIMP installation service includes:
- Preparation of your server
- Installation of the purchased VIMP software
- Installation of the transcoding tools
To access your server from the outside, we need the following:
- SSH access to your server (ideally as root)
- Pre-installed hosting (Apache + MySQL/MariaDB)
We recommend Linux as operating system. An installation under UNIX, BSD or Windows is also possible, but is not officially supported by us.
